family spring break get away
it was a pleasant stay. the kids enjoyed the pool. the area was great. even though we stayed by the airport you wouldnt even known it. not a sound in the room excellent rooms. we will stay again next trip. they was plenty of food places an shopping mall right across the way. just one block an not far from town at all 8- 10 mins away straight shot dont even have to get on freeway an about 10mins from Sea World

Long walk from hotel
Pappadeaux Seafood is an excellent restaurant just across the highway from the Hotel. Short drive. They also do take out if you don't want to wait in the inevitably long line.

Great value for the money
Clean, comfortable room. Centrally located on the North side of town. If your GPS is more than a year old, you may have difficulty finding the right exit to take, due to the new highway intersection at Hwy 281. The hotel was neat, fresh & well kept. The staff was friendly and helpful. I would stay here again.

Low Maintance
The staff is kind. The rooms need maintance and remodeling, the bathrooms is VERY old and the TV is so old. They need to invest in making it modern.

Good
The hotel is very well located two blocks from the airport and almost if front of North Star Mall. We had no information about breakfast included but we ate at the breakfast buffet. It was bad and expensive.

Good for what we needed
The hotel was good for what we needed and as is often our experience in San Antonio the people were nice. The room was fine but showing wear and there carpet by the door was wet, not sure if that was from the bathroom or AC. The upside was a real thermostat rather than one of those noisy under wondow units.

Family Bonding
I was able to enjoy the Riverwalk and the Almo. I went with my friends from college, we explored the town and the night life.

Short distance to River walk
Orbit reservation cofirmed a non-smoking room. Yet the the non-smoking room assigned was on a smoking floor because they had no other room available with our requirement. Clearly this was a small detail ey Holiday Inn they left Orbit and for that matter their customer was not made aware of.

Cheescake factory just around a block-- need a car though. If the Sant Antonio River Walk locations are not available to you, this hotel is definitely should be on your list as this is only a short drive to the River Walk.
